Bayern Munich is leading the race to Chelsea target Nicolas Pepe from Lille, according to report in French journal L’Equipe.Pepe has attracted the interest of many top clubs in Europe, including Chelsea and Arsenal, after the Ivorian nice show of form this season in the Ligue 1.
According to L’Equipe, Bayern has jumped to the head of the queue to sign Pepe, The German Champions want to get rid of Franck Ribery and Arjen Robben at the end of the current campaign.
Pepe would fit the bill, managing 20 goals and 14 assists in 35 matches this season for Lille.His transfer would cost roughly £70 million which is not a major issue for his suitors.
