Serena Williams sister: Are Serena and Venus competitive?
Do the sisters compete for glory?
Last year Ms Williams failed to conquer the women’s singles competition and left as a runner up to champion Angelique Kerber. Venus Williams struggled against American junior tennis player Cori Gauff, but the sisters remain WTA legendary players.
Are Serena and Venus Williams competitive?
Serena and Venus Williams are World Tennis Association hall of famers, as alongside with Maria Sharapova, they were the first women to have reached the finals of all four grand slams in the US Open.
The New York Times described the sisters’ success as “improbable as one set of parents raising Picasso and Monet”.
They have faced off more than once, but they do not have a traditional sibling rivalry. In total, the sisters have faced off 30 times, and some bouts came in title competitions.
Their most recent clash came during the 2018 US Open, and in 2017 they fought in the 2017 Australian Open final.
Of the two sisters, Serena Williams has taken the most wins. Serena has won 18 of their bouts against one another, while Venus has won 12.
