One Rams Player That Is Sure To Score A TD vs. Eagles In Week 5

Matthew Stafford will have one more red-zone target in his arsenal this week with Cooper Kupp returning from injured reserve. Stafford only has three touchdown passes this season, one of which went to Kyren Williams on a screen, but he’s due for at least one or two more on Sunday against the Eagles.

While Williams (-125) is obviously a good one to score again this week, having found the end zone six times already, I’m looking elsewhere to find solid value.

According to NFL.com’s official fantasy stats, the Eagles haven’t been very good against tight ends this season. They’re allowing 15.9 fantasy points per game, which is the fourth-worst of any team. They’ve given up 22 catches to tight ends on 26 targets, totaling 234 yards with, most importantly, three touchdowns allowed. That’s tied for the second-most touchdowns surrendered to tight ends this season.

With Kupp and Puka Nacua expected to draw a lot of attention from Eagles defenders, Tyler Higbee should get one-on-one matchups in the red zone with players such as Terrell Edmunds and Justin Evans. The advantage there goes to Higbee.

And if Sean McVay steers away from running into the Eagles’ stout front near the goal line, it could give Higbee even more opportunities to catch a touchdown pass.
