Chicago Bears’ Safety Says Makes Bold Claim About Jordan Love

For a player who has never once in his career defeated the Green Bay Packers, Chicago Bears safety Jaquan Brisker sure is talking a great deal of smack.

What’s worse is that the Packers handed the Bears a 38-20 loss at Soldier Field in Week One of the 2023 NFL regular season.

Jordan Love totaled 245 yards passing while completing 15 of 27 passing attempts. He three three touchdowns and no interceptions while compiling a passer rating of 123.2. And yet, Brisker is still talking trash, telling NBC Sports Chicago that Love is “nothing special.”

Speaking to Josh Schrock of NBC Sports Chicago, Brisker said of Love and the Packers: “He’s just Jordan Love. Number 10. Packers quarterback. He’s nothing special.

“We’re going to stay the course. We’re going to focus on Tampa. We see them again. They’ll get theirs.” Of course, Brisker and many of his Chicago teammates claimed that Love and the Packers would “get theirs” in Week One.

That certainly did not happen as the packers continued the dominance over the Bears. There were certainly areas in which Love can improve, but to deny what he did to one’s team seems, well, delusional. And look, so what if Love did not look like a Hall of Famer out on the field? It was his first start as the true number one quarterback!

Brisker’s comments are all just rivalry talk. Numerous current NFL players who faced Love last year (in Philadelphia) and in the preseason came away impressed with his development and still. It’s fine if the Bears players want to ignore it. The more delusional they are, the more games they will lose.
