Eagles Star’s Subtle Dig at Patrick Mahomes Super Bowl injury

Philadelphia Eagles star defensive end Brandon Graham poked fun at Kansas City Chiefs star quarterback Patrick Mahomes’ ankle injury, which he tweaked during the Chiefs’ Super Bowl victory over Philadelphia.

Graham commented on the Eagles’ attitude after Mahomes walked off the field during a recent interview on the Sports Take Podcast with Derrick Gunn and Rob Ellis, while making a veiled joke about the Chiefs QB, whom he claimed “acted good.”

“[Mahomes] went in there on the sideline [and] he’s looking like he’s hurt. Get him, we gotta get to him. And he came out, you can tell how tough he is but that boy acted good. He sure put that face up like —[he was hurting].”

The Eagles star is not denying that Mahomes was injured. While he smiled after stating the Chiefs player “acted good,” he probably doesn’t believe the injury was that serious.

It’s likely that Graham is suspicious of Mahomes’ injury. Mahomes went on to throw a pair of touchdown passes to lead the Chiefs to a comeback win in the fourth quarter of the Super Bowl.

To conclude the first half, the Chiefs star could be seen grimacing and walking off the field. The Eagles, who led 24-14 at the time, appeared to be in control, especially with a reportedly less-than-100 percent Mahomes at the helm.

Graham, who re-signed with the Eagles on a one-year deal in March, also stated that the Chiefs offensive line was “blessed” by the Super Bowl turf at another point in the discussion.
