They also open up Friday at 5.0 games back of the third and final wild card spot.

 

 

While the Red Sox are not mathematically eliminated from playoff contention this year, most Red Sox fans are looking ahead to 2024 already.

The question is, who will be running the Red Sox in 2024? Chaim Bloom has been the Chief Baseball Officer since 2020 and has overseen two last-place finishes (2020, 2022) and one trip to the ALCS (2021).
