Eagles Insider Gives Update on Derrick Henry Swap

According to many sources, the Titans have “shopped” Derrick Henry around the NFL. The Cowboys and Eagles have both been referenced prominently here. Both teams have given updates on the possible deal that can get them one of the best offensive weapon in the league.

A Cowboys official responding to queries from CowboysSI.com denied that the Dallas Cowboys were “actively interested” in a deal that would bring Tennessee Titans superstar Derrick Henry.

“There’s nothing there,” a team source tells us as of Saturday afternoon, even as speculations about Dallas’ “yet-to-be-determined compensation packages” for the Titans circulate.

But, according to a league source, Philadelphia isn’t currently involved in a Henry trade, despite a Saturday morning tweet from former NFL player Akbar Gbaja-Biamila (who works for CBS and has representation ties with Henry) insisting that the perennial rushing-title contender is “headed” to Philadelphia.

Both the Cowboys and the Eagles have been linked to Texas running back Bijan Robinson, a first-round pick in Thursday’s NFL Draft – a possibility that complicates a deal for Henry and his $10 million salary.

The Cowboys made waves this offseason with a pair of running back transactions, tagging Tony Pollard for $10 million and releasing Ezekiel Elliott.
