Isaiah Bolden Sends Message After Horrible Injury

Early in the fourth quarter, Patriots cornerback Isaiah Bolden was knocked down accidently by a teammate. After being struck in the head by Patriots defender Calvin Munson while tackling Packers receiver Malik Heath, Bolden remained motionless on the ground.

As both teams took a knee, medical staff raced to Bolden. Matthew Slater led both teams’ players in prayer. Bolden was finally placed on a backboard and stretchered off the field.

According to the Patriots, Bolden “had feeling in all of his extremities, but has been taken to a local hospital for further tests and observation.” After Bolden exited the field, Patriots coach Bill Belichick and Packers coach Matt LaFleur spoke with officials. The game was called with 10:29 remaining in the fourth quarter.

“Upon mutual agreement of the teams, tonight’s game between the New England Patriots and the Green Bay Packers has been suspended,” the teams announced.

Isaiah Bolden in first message after his scary injury appreciated everyone for their prayers and could not hide his excitement at joining his teammates back on the field. It’s unclear exactly when he’ll play next, but it’s safe to say he’s fine and on the road to full recovery.
