Lamar Jackson and Partner in Crime Odell Beckham Jr. Share Historic Feat

The Baltimore Ravens might be looking for the Guinness Book, but they are already registered in the NFL history book.

In 1958, the Baltimore Colts/Ravens won the real epic Championship game ever, commonly known as “The Greatest Game Ever Played.” Later an emotionally charged victory, the first Super Bowl XXXV victory for the Ravens.

And then, after 12 long years, another Super Bowl, XLVII, in 2013. All these amazing moments happened and were recorded as a golden time in the Ravens’ history. But the one we are talking about has still never happened, and no NFL fan has witnessed it yet.

Revealing the suspense, the Baltimore Ravens have an all-Black quarterback group along with coaches, believed to be the first time in NFL history. This is happening in the era of Lamar Jackson and his partner in crime, Odell Beckham Jr. They are lucky enough to share in this historic feat of 2023.

Ravens: First-time feat

There have been relatively few starting Black quarterbacks in NFL history, but the Ravens’ group is a step forward for Black players and coaches.

The group includes quarterbacks Tyler Huntley and Lamar Jackson, as well as Anthony Brown, an assistant quarterback, and a 37 YO Josh Johnson.

HISTORY: The Baltimore #Ravens quarterback group is entirely black, with 4 Black quarterbacks and two coaches.

This is believed to be the first all black QB room in #NFL history.

Coincidentally, the group is led by two Black coaches: Coach Kerry Dixon and quarterbacks Coach Tee Martin. “So, what the Ravens have right now is definitely groundbreaking, even in 2023,” The Baltimore Banner mentioned. “The significance of it is that we are now in the era of the Black quarterback in the NFL.”

According to ‘The Baltimore Banner’ report, the group represents progress for a league that had excluded Black people from football’s most important position for decades.

Today, this group is a stark reminder of the Black players and coaches who were never given a chance. Coach Tee Martin believes that the group is standing on the shoulders of people from the past and has to do a good job to continue making progress as well.
