One Rams Player That Is Sure To Score A TD vs. Seahawks In Week 1

The Los Angeles Rams offense is going to look a bit different on Sunday without Cooper Kupp lining up at wide receiver. It’s a massive void in the passing game, and his role as a blocker in the rushing attack will be missed, as well.

Kupp, who led the NFL in touchdown receptions two seasons ago, won’t be on the field against the Seahawks, which takes away the Rams’ most obvious touchdown candidate. So who will help fill the void in the red zone when Los Angeles is trying to put up points?

Matthew Stafford doesn’t have his favorite target in Kupp and the Rams are without a true red zone threat like they had with Allen Robinson and Odell Beckham Jr. That leaves Akers as the primary playmaker in the red area.

Assuming the Rams get deep into the Seahawks’ red zone, Akers is likely to get a crack or two at the goal line. And after bulking up in the offseason, he should be even better in close quarters.

He scored six touchdowns in the last six games of last season, including three in Week 16.
