Packers AJ Dillon Launches Party For His New Children’s Book

Green Bay Packers fans have become accustomed to witnessing AJ Dillon push past opponents at Lambeau Field over the previous three seasons as the team’s bruising running back. Hey, you could even see him in overalls when the temperature drops below 0 degrees in the Frozen Tundra.

However, you may see him in a new position as a children’s book author starting next week. Dillon, who has been a popular player on and off the field after being picked in the second round by the Packers in 2020, will throw a book launch party for “Quadzilla Finds His Footing” outside Lambeau Field on Tuesday.

During the offseason, he worked on the book.

The book launch celebration will be held on Tuesday, July 11, from 9 a.m. to noon at the Johnsonville Tailgate Village in the Lambeau Field parking lot, 1265 Lombardi Ave., Green Bay. You should pre-order tickets to ensure entry to the event. You can do so by going to the book’s publisher website, which is located here.

Tickets are $50 each. When you come, you will receive an autographed hardcover copy of the book, a photo of your group with Dillon, and one entry ticket into a raffle for a signed AJ Dillon jersey. Tickets will be $55 if they are available on the day of the event.

Unsigned copies of the book may be available for purchase for the normal price of $21.99 for hardcover and $15.99 for paperback during the event.

Backorders for the book are also available through the Packers Pro Shop. The book is available for pre-order and will arrive within one to two weeks of its release date. The inspirational book educates readers about self-esteem, attempting new things, and friendship.

The plot revolves around the imaginary monster Quadzilla (named after one of Dillon’s nicknames) and his buddies. Quadzilla becomes disheartened when he fails at activities, but his buddies introduce him to football to cheer him up.

Dillon created the novel in anticipation of becoming a parent this summer. Dillon and his wife, Gabrielle, who live in Green Bay, had their first child, Trey, in May.

“I wanted something to share with him, and hopefully I can pass along the story of Quadzilla throughout our family for years to come,” Dillon explained in an interview with the book’s publisher.
