Pat McAfee Makes Another Bold Comment About Packers’ Jordan Love

Green Bay Packers quarterback Jordan Love is a chance to prove a lot of people wrong during the 2023 season. This offseason, many analysts and fans have already written the team off before even playing a game because Love has the tall task of replacing Aaron Rodgers under center.

The Packers made the tough decision to move on from the future Hall of Famer this offseason, trading him to the New York Jets. That opened up the starting spot for Love, who was selected in the first round of the 2020 NFL Draft.

Most projections and predictions have Love producing at a modest level in the upcoming season. Not only is there not much of a track record to go off of for him, his supporting cast is just as inexperienced.

One person who believes that Love and the Packers are going to blow away expectations is Pat McAfee. On a recent episode of his show, McAfee revealed a very bold prediction.

Love is tasked with continuing what has been 30 years of Hall of Fame performance, as Rodgers followed in the footsteps of Brett Favre. McAfee believes the Packers will hit on a third quarterback in a row with the Utah State product.

“Jordan Love, huh? This kid’s a player. Everyone was coming after us, saying we would not be Jordan Love supporters. I feel like we have been Jordan Love supporters, and watching him play, there’s good reason to be a Jordan Love supporter!”

“His teammates love him. The Packers are going well with him. And against the New England Patriots, he’s throwing f—ing missiles.”

“Jordan Love, I assume, has won over all the Packers fans that were maybe thinking ‘we’re going to be in a transition year, a bad year.’ And what I’m seeing out of him, Packers fans might be the luckiest group of people of all time. Again, it’s just preseason, but from Favre (that’s a compliment), to Aaron, to this guy. What an incredible run!”

McAfee joins a group of Love supporters that is beginning to grow with his strong performances in training camp. Rich Eisen also sang the praises of Love and the Packers’ offense, as he believes that Green Bay is being overlooked.

Love has played well through two preseason games for the Packers this year. He has played five series, completing 12-of-18 pass attempts for 130 yards and two touchdowns.

This is a young group, which will cause some bumps in the road. But, there is no denying the amount of talent on Green Bay’s offense. They are going to surprise some opponents if they underestimate them at all during the regular season.
