Aaron Rodgers Suffered Painful Injury

Aaron Rodgers did not participate in the Jets’ Hall of Fame game loss to the Cleveland Browns, and it appears we may know why. Rodgers just had a severe injury, according to Jets head coach Robert Saleh, per ESPN’s Rich Cimini, and the Jets are definitely taking all steps to get him ready for the next season.

Rodgers’ tiny toe was stomped on, according to Saleh, but he is expected to be alright. According to a prior comment from Saleh, Rodgers is not anticipated to play in the preseason, so supporters can rest easy knowing that everything appears to be in order with their quarterback.

 

 

 

 

Saleh also discussed wide receiver Garrett Wilson and offensive guard Duane Brown. Wilson, who suffered an ankle injury, is expected to be back in time for joint practices with the Carolina Panthers on Tuesday.

Brown is still two weeks away from exercising after being put on the PUP list with a shoulder ailment. The Jets face the Panthers on Saturday in Charlotte, and while No. 1 overall selection Bryce Young is expected to play, Rodgers will not.

 

 

Rodgers appears to be fine for the time being, but after getting his toe stomped on, he may warn a few folks at the Jets facilities to check their step.
