Green Bay Packers Get Back Massive Player From Injury

The Green Bay Packers are working hard to be as healthy as possible for the 2023 season. With so much turnover on the offensive side of the ball, they need as many players on the field as they can get. It was stated today that they would have one key player return from injury.

It was just announced yesterday that center Jake Hanson would begin the season on the physically unable to perform list. However, his stint on that list was brief. Quarterbacks, rookies, and injured players reported for Green Bay Packers training camp on Friday, which begins next week. Hanson, on the other hand, was released on Saturday after passing his physical.

Hanson, a sixth-round pick in 2020, can play all three interior offensive line positions. He also earned some accolades for his overall performance from offensive coordinator Adam Stenavich last summer, but it did not transfer over to the regular season.

Losing Hanson was a setback for a position group that, to be honest, lacked genuine depth following the tremendous skill in the starting unit. Green Bay strayed from tradition by not selecting any offensive lineman in the 2023 NFL Draft, which means they will start the season with the same unit as last year.

The return of Jake Hanson will increase competition on the inside offensive line. The coaching staff, especially offensive coordinator and former offensive line coach Adam Stenavich, lauded Hanson’s performance during training camp and the preseason last year.

Furthermore, his flexibility, which we know the Packers value along the offensive line, is noticeable. Hanson is capable of filling in at any of the three interior offensive line spots.
