Philly Analyst Threatens to Retire if Eagles Draft This RB

According to 94  WIP’s Howard Eskin in Philadelphia, if the Eagles use the 10th choice in the NFL Draft on this player, he will retire.

The Philadelphia Eagles are in fantastic shape. Not only did they narrowly miss out on winning Super Bowl 57, but they also kept their top two cornerbacks and signed quarterback Jalen Hurts to a long-term contract deal.

They also have the 10th overall selection. This is in part due to a transaction with the New Orleans Saints last year in which they switched draft selections. The Eagles will be able to add a difference-maker and impact player to their already excellent team as a result of this.

Well, there is one NFL star that 94 WIP’s Howard Eskin does not want the Eagles to choose on Thursday night.

On Wednesday’s “Marks and Reese” broadcast with Jon Marks and Ike Reese, Eskin stated that if the Eagles choose Texas running back Bijan Robinson with the 10th overall selection, he will retire.

Philadelphia sports radio broadcaster has threatened to resign If the Eagles choose Bijan Robinson at No.10.

There is a widespread opinion in the NFL right now that clubs should not draft a running back in the first round, particularly in the Top 10. The issue is, Robinson is a true stud player who can easily boost any club he’s on’s running game. Not only that, but he can also contribute in the passing game. Not to add that he is regarded as one of the top all-around athletes in this draft class.

Robinson rushed for 1,580 yards and 18 touchdowns on 258 attempts for Texas last season, averaging 6.1 yards per carry. Robinson had 19 receptions for 314 yards and two touchdowns.

Robinson ran for 3,410 yards and 33 touchdowns on 539 runs in three years, while also catching 60 receptions for 805 yards and eight scores.

According to recent reports, Robinson might go as high as No. 8 to the Atlanta Falcons in the first round. But if he doesn’t and he’s on the Eagles’ board at No. 10, it would be a bold move for them to choose him. Imagine Robinson joining Hurts, wide outs A.J. Brown and DeVonta Smith, and that offensive line. Even if Eskin disagrees with the ruling, it might cause problems for opposition defenders.
