Red Sox Fans Certainly Will Love What Top Prospect Had To Say About Club

The Boston Red Sox have some very intriguing prospects.

A few years ago, this wouldn’t been said lightly but times have changed. Boston now has one of the best farm systems in baseball and soon enough, some of the top prospects will begin making their way toward Fenway Park.

One elite prospect who already should be exciting Red Sox fans certainly is outfielder Roman Anthony. The 19-year-old has quickly shot up Boston’s prospect rankings and is the Red Sox’s No. 2-ranked prospect at the moment for very good reason.

Anthony was drafted in the second round of the 2022 Major League Baseball June Amateur Draft and has been exceptional so far in his young career. Red Sox fans should be excited, especially after a recent conversation he had with Beyond the Monster and BoSox Injection’s Hunter Noll.

“I’m a simple guy,” Anthony said to Noll. “I love the game of baseball, love playing the game and that’s really it. I can’t wait to be in Boston as soon as I can, playing for the fans. I look forward to continuing to develop and get better every day and hopefully stay with this org as long as I can.”

Red Sox fans couldn’t ask for much more out of Anthony. The young outfielder has appeared in 101 games overall so far this season and is slashing .265/.395/.465 to go along with 14 home runs and 59 RBIs while spending time with the Class-A Salem Red Sox, High-A Greenville Drive, and Double-A Portland Sea Dogs.

While Anthony likely is at least a year away from the big leagues, Boston fans should already be keeping a close eye on him.
