Joe Burrow Addresses Tee Higgins And Ja’Marr Chase Future With Bengals

Joe Burrow has stated from the start that he and the Cincinnati Bengals’ front management intend to keep the core group together for the foreseeable future, and, while he does not yet have his own contract, he believes the Bengals will be able to keep wide outs Tee Higgins and Ja’Marr Chase in Cincinnati for the foreseeable future.

“You have guys around you that have helped you have the success you’ve had,” Burrow said on ESPN NFL Live promoting the Bodyarmor drink. “Our front office has done a great job of that for the last couple of years of putting us in the best position to succeed the way we have. We’ll see where it goes but I’m confident we will be able to keep everybody.”

Higgins is in the final year of his Bengals deal, and Chase will be eligible for an extension following this season. The Bengals and Burrow have decided to keep quiet about the superstar quarterback’s future contract. Burrow is likely to be the highest-paid player in the NFL after the season is done.

The contract of Los Angeles Chargers quarterback Justin Herbert was the final domino to fall, and it did so on Tuesday night. The Chargers signed Herbert to a five-year, $262.5 million contract. Burrow will almost certainly surpass this total, and with Herbert’s transfer completed, the Bengals and Burrow will be the primary focus.

Herbert’s contract follows the signings of Baltimore Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson and Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Jalen Hurts this summer.
