Bengals' Tyler Boyd Publicly Defends Tee Higgins

Tyler Boyd of the Cincinnati Bengals does not want to hear anyone speak negatively about teammate wideout Tee Higgins. For example, Boyd recently commented on a Pro Football Focus post asking if Higgins was the best No. 2 wideout in the NFL.

 

 

Surprisingly, that is one of the specific issues that might prevent Higgins and the Bengals from reaching an agreement on a long-term deal right now. Higgins is a traditional, likely-true No. 1 on most teams, but nearly no club in the league has a guy like Ja’Marr Chase holding down the top place.

In Boyd’s reply to the tweet, he wrote “He’s not a number two, you trippin,”.

Semantics aside — and this is unlikely to prevent a Higgins contract later this offseason — it must be exciting for fans to watch players publicly backing each other like this.
