Roger Federer’s 2021: the last magic of the Swiss Maestro

In February Roger announced that he had undergone surgery on his right knee and was planning to return to the field for the grass season.

In mid-June Federer announced that he had undergone a new surgery and therefore the end of his season, considering the cancellation of his two main goals.

Main goals that Federer will have also in 2021, to try to give his fans and all lovers of the game one last magic.

We are talking about Wimbledon and the Tokyo Olympic Games. Roger could play his last season right in 2021, but who knows. The brutal disappointment of Wimbledon 2019 will push him again to try the impossible, a mission impossible to pursue with pride, talent and will.

What will Federer need to have a 2021 at least similar to his miraculous 2017? Really a miracle? No, the possibilities are there, despite the higher level and the competition in 2021 will be fierce, with all the greatest tennis players on the planet ready to do battle.

Federer will have to get back in excellent athletic form, hoping that he has well overcome the two surgeries. The Swiss will have to combine physical fitness with excellent programming and choose the events to play in order to seek all-in.

Nadal could break his Slam record: a nightmare for his fans, but a very concrete reality. Just pride, talent and dedication could help him try to do the best.

It will be very difficult to win at the Australian Open and Wimbledon, but Roger Federer will have his chances and he will do everything to play them best.

In Tokyo he will leave with the same possibilities as all the others. After all the torments of 2020, why not give yourself a moment to dream?
